Incremental sensors are designed for measuring and checking of displacements, dimensions, runouts, surface profiles and deformations of technological objects. The devices produce standardised output signals containing information about the amount and direction of measuring tip  displacement which can be further processed by measuring systems of CNC and digital displays.
 

Operating principle

Operation of the sensors is based on amplitude modulation of the light flux passing through  two mating raster patterns moving relative to each other, namely, that of the indicator array and that of the measuring bar.
