Carriage for the rail scaloping wear indication

The field of application.
The
carriage is designed for the use at the road economy
of mainline railways and the underground.
Registered rail irregularities and defects are the following
(according to NTC/CP-2-93):
defects 40 and 49 are scalloping irregularities and
riffle;
defects 46.3 are cols in the regions of welded joints;
defects 14 are axles;
The carriage can be used for the periodical monitoring
and testing of longitudinal profile of the rail-wing
head roll surface and for planning the lap work volume
and the subsequent lap quality check. |
Basic functions
- Getting the real time information on the nature
of short continuous irregularities and on the path,
traversed while moving with the binding to the track
coordinate;
- Continuous visualization of the short irregularities
parameters for each of the track ways in the form of
functions of traversed path at the display of the computing
unit;
- Accumulation of information at the magnetic medium
and documentation it by printing; |

The field of application.
Rail
Portable Profilograph of PRP-1 Type is a manual diagnostic
devise for registering flaws of functional surface cross
direction profile at the road economy of mainline railways
and the underground.
PRP-1 enables to find the solution for the problem of
the periodical monitoring and testing of rail longitudinal
profile and for planning the work volume and the control
of the quality of rail-grinding trains and rail-grinding
equipment functioning.
Advantages of PRP-1
- Noncontact (optical) method of measurement of rail
head profile (by using RF600
series) which enables to register sophisticated
flaws at large scanning angle (laser sensor of RF600
series is used )
- The visual traceability of measured profile and standardized
deterioration parameters on the graphical display of
microprocessor system computing unit (SCU);
- Minimal time of measuring process and of placement/
displacement the scanning means on/off the rail procedure;
- Convenient interface SCU that lets input identification
information on the measured profiles efficiently using
the keyboard for the subsequent documentation;
- Recording up to 1000 profiles onto the magnetic medium
SCU with possible visualization of any measured profile
at field conditions;
- Metrological acceptance of the means by normative
parameters being measured at special metrological rack;
- High level of means proofness from external actions
(IP65);
- Special PC program that enables to record the information
on the measured profiles with the consequent processing,
comprising:
- Overlapping of any two profiles (including the sample
one and the repaired one)

Printing out the information;

Characterization of any profiles point and their areas;

Output of identification information on measured profiles;

Possibility to create repair profiles data bank etc.
Controlled parameters:
- Vertical wear of rail head (hB);
- Lateral wear of rail head (hb),
measured at 13 mm down from the top of its head;
- Lateral wear of rail head(hbL45),
measured at 45 degree angle with respect to rail symmetry
axis at the point, going through the middle of lateral
operating fillet;
- Mentioned rail head wear, defined as vertical one +
half of lateral one, in details: hpr
= hB + 0,5hb
or hpr = hB
+ 0,5hbL45.
